Accident insurance LAA/UVG
All employees must be insured by their employer for occupational accidents (workplace). Employees working more than 8 hours a week must also be insured for non-occupational accidents outside the workplace.
Loss of earnings insurance APG
Unlike other insurances, loss of earnings insurance is not compulsory. This insurance covers loss of salary in the event of medium or long-term illness. However, employers are obliged to inform their employees if they do not take out this insurance.
Occupational Pensions Act BVG
All employees must be insured with the occupational pension scheme from the start of their employment relationship, i.e. at age 17 at the earliest for death and disability risks. From the age of 25, insured persons must also contribute to their personal savings, provided their salary reaches CHF 21,150 per year.
